2015 was undoubtedly one of the most difficult years of Jon Jones' life.

The former UFC light heavyweight champion saw his illustrious career come crashing down around him after a failed drug test for cocaine was followed by a hit-and-run arrest just a few months later.

With his life effectively in shambles after being stripped of his title and handed an indefinite suspension, Jones sought the support of family, friends, teammates, and coaches, deciding to put his head down and help his Jackson-Wink compatriots prepare for fights as he awaited the chance to restart his flagging career.

One of the constant sources of support for Jones was former UFC women's bantamweight overlord Ronda Rousey, who reached out to the fallen champion during the difficult months.

"Ronda has actually been very supportive of me," Jones told Ariel Helwani, according to MMAFIghting.com's Marc Raimondi. "She texted me quite a few times, man. She even invited me to come and stay at her beach house in California. 'Jon, you're going to come back from this. Anything I can do for you, you let me know. If you want to get away, I got a house here and not many people know where it's at or whatever. It's your house until you get right.'"

Rousey's gesture meant a lot to Jones, especially considering her demanding schedule.

"Stuff like that just shows you, man, this girl is on top of the world right now and she's sitting here thinking about me at my darkest hour," Jones said. "That's something that I'll never forget."
