Aldo on being underdog at UFC 194: To make money 'all they have to do is bet on Aldo'

Although he's the greatest featherweight in MMA history, Jose Aldo is a betting underdog at UFC 194.

It's a seemingly absurd situation for "Scarface" to find himself in. Considering his sheer dominance during a nearly five-year reign of destruction as the only 145-pound champion the UFC has ever seen, its almost impossible to think he isn't the favorite against his nemesis, Conor McGregor, on Dec. 12.

Despite the betting slight, Aldo isn't concerned with the hoopla leading up to the bout, though he does recommend gamblers throw some money on him.

"Whoever wants to make money, all they have to do is bet on Aldo. It'll be the easiest money they will ever make in their lives," Aldo told Sportv, according to BloodyElbow.com's Lucas Rezende. "Just like what happened to Ronda Rousey against Holly Holm. That's not a problem for me. I don't know who decides who gets to be the favorite. I focus on myself. I know what I can do and what I have to do to win."

Favorite or not, Aldo won't let his unprecedented reign crumble due to complacency.

"I'm always trying to learn more and to be a good role model for people," he said. "I have to train harder than everyone else. That way I'll never be in a comfort zone. I won't believe I'm better than everyone else."
