Ronda Rousey on 'dream' fight with Jon Jones: 'We'd do some crazy ninja stuff'

UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey will face off with Bethe Correia on Aug. 1 at UFC 190 in Brazil, but a group of her fans seemed more interested in fights that aren't likely to ever take place, based on a question-and-answer session she had in Los Angeles, hosted by The Wall Street Journal.

Rousey was asked what her dream matchup would be in the ring.

"Skills-wise, I would love to see where I'd go with Jon Jones," Rousey said. "Because he's the one I think is the most able to improvise within a match, which is something I really pride myself on, so I think we'd do some crazy ninja stuff."

Rousey added "Bryan Caraway's annoying. It'd be really fun to beat him up. ... Plenty of other people have gotten that pleasure before me, apparently."

Sticking with the subject of things not likely to ever occur, the subject of Rousey's appearance in WrestleMania 31 this past March was broached. UFC president Dana White has publicly stated a repeat performance isn't in the cards, but Rousey noted that could have been said simply to add to the intrigue.

"Look, the thing is, would you really want to know?" Rousey said, as transcribed by MMA Fighting. "Here's the thing. With the last WrestleMania, what was the coolest part? It's the surprise. So do you really want to know? Maybe this is all part of some plot, to put Dana out there and be like, 'Nope, no way it'll ever happen.' Then make everyone forget about it so later I can just pop up like, 'What? Dana said no."

Rousey wouldn't reveal any more beyond that, sticking with her story that the surprise adds to the overall experience.

"I don't know," Rousey said. "That's the cool thing about WWE. You don't know which factors are being put out there because they're real and which ones are being put out there to put you guys off what's really going to happen.

"As an avid wrestling fan, myself, I would rather not know. (Spoiler alert?) If you knew that Seth Rollins was going to turn on The Shield would you have wanted to know? No. It would have ruined that moment. As a fan and respecting your fandom, I can't tell you anything."
