The wheels are in motion for another Jon Jones comeback.
The UFC heavyweight champion revealed on Instagram Tuesday night that he returned to training for the first time since suffering a torn pectoral muscle last October.
Jones hasn't stepped into the Octagon since claiming the vacant heavyweight title with a first-round submission of Ciryl Gane at UFC 285 in March 2023.
The 36-year-old was scheduled to defend the belt against former champ Stipe Miocic at UFC 295 last November, but the injury - which required surgery - forced him out of the fight.
The UFC plans to reschedule Jones-Miocic sometime in 2024 despite crowning Tom Aspinall as the interim champion in Jones' absence.
