Megan Anderson just got a push up the pyramid, thanks to Cris Cyborg.

The 27-year-old Aussie was promoted from interim to undisputed Invicta FC featherweight champion during Saturday's Invicta FC 22 in her adopted hometown of Kansas City, just one day after Cris Cyborg announced she'd vacated her promotional crown in her quest to win the UFC women's featherweight strap.

Anderson had begun angling for a spot in the UFC moments after disposing of Charmaine Tweet to win the interim title in January, but with the promotion seemingly uninterested in her services, she basked in her bump to Invicta's undisputed champ, and hopes to defend her newly acquired crown as soon as possible.

The all-female promotion's first featherweight queen, Cyborg hadn't defended the title in over a year, during which she scored a pair of knockouts over Leslie Smith and Lina Lansberg in the Octagon. Her jump to the world's leading promotion allowed Anderson to fight Tweet for the interim belt, a crown she won with a second-round TKO, her fourth straight victory by knockout.
