VIDEO: Jeter, Kobe reflect on Manning's career

As Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning attempts to win the second Super Bowl of his legendary career on Sunday, a pair of future Hall of Famers from other pro sports showed their appreciation for No. 18.

"The thing that I've enjoyed most watching Peyton is his pursuit of perfection," former New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter said. "He puts the work in, he puts the hours in, and is just a sponge for knowledge."

Both Jeter and Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant reflected on Manning's career during a short video by the NFL Network. Jeter, who retired in 2014, and Bryant, who'll retire at the conclusion of this season, sympathized with the effects of Father Time, and coming to grips with the twilight years of their careers.

"When you're used to being able to perform at a particular level and now it's more and more difficult to get back to that level it can be frustrating," Jeter said. "You know at the same time you realize that it happens to everyone. I admire Peyton so much. He may not throw it as far as he once did when he was in college but he's gonna make the adjustment."

Manning broke into the league in 1998 as a 22-year-old with the Indianapolis Colts and is the NFL's all-time passing yards leader after breaking Brett Favre's record in November.
