Daniel Murphy isn't your prototypical cleanup hitter, but don't tell New York Mets manager Terry Collins that.

The second baseman, who hit .352 and had zero homers in 56 at-bats hitting fourth in the lineup during the regular season, took Los Angeles Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw deep in the fourth inning to open the scoring in the National League Division Series opener.

Murphy, who only hit one home run off left-handed pitching this year, joins Carlos Delgado and Edgardo Alfonzo as the only Mets to homer in their postseason debut.
