Astros' Correa says he will play in Game 3 despite sore knee

Houston Astros rookie Carlos Correa fouled a ball off his right knee for the second consecutive game Friday, but the 21-year-old told reporters he will be good to play in Game 3 on Sunday.

The shortstop remained in the game and struck out on the next pitch.

"It hurts, those guys are throwing 95-plus," said Correa who finished the day 1-for-4 in the 5-4 loss to the Kansas City Royals. "You barrel it right at your knee, it's going to hurt.

"We have a lot of confidence," Correa added with his team tied 1-1 in the National League Division Series and heading back home to Minute Maid Park. "We won one on the road against a great team like the Royals."
