VIDEO: Rasmus continues red hot October with home run
The hottest hitter this postseason continues to be Houston Astros outfielder Colby Rasmus.
Looking to take a commanding 2-0 series lead over the Kansas City Royals in the ALDS, Rasmus was leading the offensive charge Friday.
Playing in his first postseason since 2009, Rasmus opened the scoring with an RBI single in the first inning off Royals start Johnny Cueto. He delivered once again two innings later, launching a 395-foot solo home run to right-center field to extend the Astros lead to 4-1.

It's the third straight postseason game in which Rasmus has homered, making him the second Astros player to do so in franchise history, according to ESPN.
Though his team went on to lose the game 5-4, the 29-year-old remained positive with Houston's chances as the series moves to Texas.
"You know, a lot of people never even thought we were gonna be in this position to begin with," Rasmus told reporters postgame. "So for us to be 1-1 and going back to our place I think, you know, that's a blessing in itself."
Game 3 is set to start at 4:10 p.m. ET on Sunday at Minute Maid Park.
