Two days into his major-league career, Hector Olivera is already helping the hapless Atlanta Braves win games.

The Cuban phenom collected his fist career hit Wednesday in his second game with the Braves, slapping a two-run single off Miami Marlins lefty Adam Conley through the left side of the infield to give his club an early 3-2 lead in the third.

Olivera, who went hitless in Tuesday's debut, appeared in just 10 games for Triple-A Gwinnett before being promoted to the Braves, managing a .231/.286/.308 slash line for the club's International League affiliate.

The third baseman's efforts were all for naught Wednesday as the Marlins handed the Braves their eighth straight loss by completing the three-game sweep. Olivera went 1-for-3 with a walk and strikeout.
