Astros' Feldman to undergo MRI after exiting with shoulder injury

HOUSTON - Houston Astros right-hander Scott Feldman is scheduled to undergo an MRI after leaving Tuesday night's game against the Seattle Mariners with discomfort in his right shoulder.

Feldman walked two straight batters before grimacing after a pitch to Mark Trumbo that resulted in a fly out for the second out of the third inning. Trainers visited with him briefly on the mound before he left the game and was replaced by Vince Velasquez with Seattle leading 3-1.

"It felt tight at the beginning of the game, but once I started feeling where it was actually starting to hurt ... you have to try to know the difference between just tightness and putting yourself and the team in a bad position," Feldman told reporters. "Once it started hurting, I don't want to go out there and tear my shoulder, or something like that."

Feldman struggled with command Tuesday, walking five and allowing three hits and three runs.

He returned from the disabled list on July 18 after missing almost two months following arthroscopic surgery on his right knee.
