Utley no-hit for 2nd time since joining Dodgers
If the Los Angeles Dodgers were looking for a lucky rabbit's foot with their acquisition of Chase Utley, they haven't gotten their wish.
Utley was the last out of Jake Arrieta's no-hitter on Sunday, which is the second time in his career he was forced to watch as celebrations took place in front of him as the last out of a no-hit performance.
Remarkably, it's also the second time in less than two weeks that Utley and the Dodgers have been no-hit. Shortly after acquiring Utley from Philadelphia on Aug. 19, the Dodgers were no-hit by Houston Astros right-hander Mike Fiers.
In 13 seasons with the Phillies, the veteran Utley was only no-hit once. He was the final out of Josh Beckett's 2014 no-no, joining him with a group that includes Hank Aaron and Ted Williams as players who have been the last out of a no-hitter at least twice.
The Dodgers are 4-4 with Utley in their lineup.
