VIDEO: Swihart puts Red Sox ahead with inside-the-park HR
Boston Red Sox icon David Ortiz tied Lou Gehrig on history's all-time home run leaderboard Friday night at Citi Field, blasting the 493rd round-tripper of his 18-year career during his club's series opener against the New York Mets.
Somehow, rookie catcher Blake Swihart found a way to upstage him.
Swihart, who entered Friday's series opener with one homer in 61 games since making his MLB debut in May, doubled his career total with a go-ahead, inside-the-park home run off reliever Carlos Torres in the top of the 10th inning.

Earlier in the game, incidentally, the 23-year-old stole his second base of the season, consequently joining Buster Posey, Carlos Perez, and J.T. Realmuto as the only catchers to hit a home run and steal a bag in the same game this summer.
