Kris Bryant will be in the Chicago Cubs' lineup Monday when the team squares off against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The 23-year-old slugger left Sunday's contest against the Milwaukee Brewers after a scary headfirst slide into second base.

Bryant was removed from the game for precautionary reasons and passed concussion protocol afterward. He told ESPN's Jesse Rogers on Monday that he's done with headfirst slides. Bryant also said he thought of his friend Cory Hahn, who was paralyzed after a headfirst slide into second base at Arizona State.

The No. 2 overall pick of the 2013 draft is hitting .246/.354/.436 with 14 home runs and 61 RBIs in his first season in the bigs.
