The Baltimore Orioles may finally be ready to make a move as the trade deadline approaches.

Baltimore is reportedly speaking with the Milwaukee Brewers about outfielder Gerardo Parra, Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports reports.

Parra - a former Gold Glover known throughout his career for impressive defense - is having a tremendous offensive season for the Brewers, posting a batting line of .326/.367/.517 in 347 plate appearances.

He's also in the midst of a 14-game hitting streak and is hitting an MLB-best .432 in July.

The addition of Parra would add to an outfield mix of Adam Jones, Travis Snider, David Lough, and Nolan Reimold, with Steve Pearce on the 15-day disabled list with an oblique strain.

Player GP AVG OPS WAR UZR
Adam Jones 89 .286 .808 2.7 3.6
Travis Snider 68 .239 .662 0.2 0.1
David Lough 69  .218 .601 -0.1 3.5
Steve Pearce 58 .227 .682 0.6 0.9
Nolan Reimold 27 .258 .771 0.5 1.1
Gerardo Parra 99 .326 .884 1.5 -4.7

Baltimore sits second in the American League East, six games back of the New York Yankees and one game out of a wild-card spot, yet the Orioles have been one of the least active teams leading up to the trade deadline.
