The hottest team in baseball is hoping to load up for a postseason push.
Winners of seven straight, the Chicago White Sox will be buyers leading up to Friday's non-waiver trade deadline and will be looking to add a bat, according to Bob Nightengale of USA TODAY Sports.
Long-rumored to be shopping right-hander Jeff Samardzija, the White Sox are first in the majors in runs, hits, doubles, and average since the All-Star break and have closed the gap in the second wild card race to 2 1/2 games.
The White Sox have multiple areas in which they could add offence, though the infield remains their biggest weakness.
