The Phillies will decide whether ace Cole Hamels remains in Philadelphia based on the proposals they receive by Wednesday.

The Phillies have reportedly asked teams to provide their "best" offers for the 2008 World Series MVP by that deadline. At that point, the team will decide whether to keep the 31-year-old or deal him to the highest bidder, according to Jayson Stark of ESPN.com.

A number of teams are interested in the left-hander, who's fresh off throwing a no-hitter on Saturday. The Phillies have continued discussions with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Texas Rangers, Chicago Cubs, San Francisco Giants, Houston Astros, Arizona Diamondbacks, New York Yankees, and Boston Red Sox.

Hamels can block a trade to a number of teams, including the Astros, who have made a late push for his services. He was scheduled to start Thursday against the Atlanta Braves, but his start has since been pushed to Friday, as the Phillies don't want to risk an injury in case he hasn't been dealt by then.
