The Los Angeles Dodgers appear to be approaching the trade deadline with an open mind.

The Dodgers have reportedly informed opposing clubs that superstar outfielder Yasiel Puig is available for the right price, according to Bob Nightengale of USA TODAY Sports.

Nightengale notes that teams have thus far shown more interest in the Dodgers' prospects than in Puig, who's been the subject of persistent clubhouse controversy during his brief three-year career.

Puig's been slowed by various injuries this season, which possibly accounts for his drop in offensive production. He's hitting a career-low .253/.327/.423 with six homers and 11 doubles across 53 games.

The 24-year-old Cuban is under team control through the 2018 season at an average annual value of roughly $8.2 million per year.
