Welcome back, Josh Hamilton.

The Texas Rangers slugger hit a pinch-hit, walk-off double in the ninth inning off Boston Red Sox closer Koji Uehara on Sunday to win 4-3.

With two outs and a runner on third, the Red Sox opted to intentionally walk Prince Fielder. Rangers manager Jeff Banister summoned Hamilton from the bench, who slapped a double to left center field to score two runs in the come-from-behind victory.

Acquired from the Los Angeles Angels on April 27, Hamilton made his season debut for Texas on Monday. The 34-year-old spent five seasons with the Rangers from 2008-12 and received a standing ovation in his return to Globe Life Park on Thursday.

"It feels like old times, it really does," Hamilton told Dave Sessions of MLB.com. "A lot of fun, coming into Cleveland [last week] not really knowing what to expect from the team as far as the chemistry and stuff because I hadn't experienced it.

"Coming back home and having some good games against Boston and then having a game like today reminds you of some good times for the Rangers."

The Rangers took three out of four games from the Red Sox and have eight wins across their last 10.

Sunday's win did however come at a cost for Texas, as Adrian Beltre suffered a sprained left thumb sliding into second base and is expected to miss at least two weeks.
