Orioles place Norris on 15-day DL with bronchitis

The Baltimore Orioles placed right-hander Bud Norris on the 15-day disabled list Monday with bronchitis. The move is retroactive to May 11.

Norris missed his start Saturday, though manager Buck Showalter was hopeful that the 30-year-old would be able to make an appearance this week.

Coming off the best season of his seven-year career in 2014, Norris is off to a terrible start, going 1-4 with a 9.88 ERA and 1.86 WHIP across six starts.

The Orioles recalled right-hander Tyler Wilson from Triple-A Norfolk. The 25-year-old is 2-4 with a 3.43 ERA and 29 strikeouts in 39 1/3 innings.
