Twins' May day-to-day after taking comebacker off pitching elbow

Joe Nicholson / USA TODAY Sports

Minnesota Twins right-hander Trevor May left Saturday's tilt with the Seattle Mariners after taking a comebacker off his right arm.

Thankfully, X-rays came back negative and he's listed as day-to-day with a right elbow contusion.

Kyle Seager delivered the blow that struck May's pitching elbow in the bottom of the fourth inning.

May, who had over 100 friends and family in attendance for his start at Safeco Field, was replaced by Tim Stauffer.

May allowed two earned runs on three hits and amassed five strikeouts over 3 1/3 innings before exiting.
