Brewers' Lind praises relationship with team brass

Dan Hamilton / USA TODAY Sports

Adam Lind has only been a member of the Milwaukee Brewers for a few months, but the 31-year-old recently suggested he's already developed a rapport with the team brass - something that never really happened during his nine-year stint with the Toronto Blue Jays.

"It's nice to have an owner that’s here," Lind told the Wisconsin State Journal as he sat three stools down from team owner Mark Attanasio at a recent fan event. "I never met the owner in Toronto. They've got a lot of stuff going on up there. It's good to have conversations with the general manager, the assistant general manager and the owner. It’s kind of a new experience to have so much face time with your bosses."

Acquired from Toronto in exchange for right-hander Marco Estrada in November, Lind constitutes the Brewers' most significant offseason addition and hopes to replicate the success he enjoyed sporadically throughout his time with the Blue Jays. Over the last two seasons, Lind compiled a .301/.366/.490 line over 239 games while posting a .931 OPS against right-handed pitching.

"I want to be an impact bat in the middle of the order and continue to do what I've done for the most part in my career," said Lind. "Everybody has their ups and downs, hopefully this will be an up."
