The Minnesota Twins are reportedly thinking outside of the box when it comes to upgrading their outfield this offseason.

The 32-year-old Pena last appeared in the majors in 2011 with the Arizona Diamondbacks and Seattle Mariners, and has been retooling his game in Japan. The Twins could use him as potential designated hitter.

Pena's best season in the bigs came back in 2004 as a member of the Cincinnati Reds when he hit 26 home runs and drove in 66 runs.
