The Texas Rangers head into the offseason with plenty of roster needs, but they aren't likely to be satisfied with high-priced free agents.
“We’ll probably be more trade-focused than free-agent-focused, at least early on,” general manager Jon Daniels told Jeff Wilson of the Star-Telegram. “The top-dollar guys most likely won’t be a fit for us this winter.”
Daniels said last week the club's main priority is to acquire pitching this offseason after using 15 different starters in 2014.
The Rangers currently have $108 million committed to next season, according to Cot's Baseball.
