Royals may start Dyson over Aoki in Game 3

John Rieger / USA TODAY Sports

After leaving his starting lineup untouched through the first 10 postseason games, Kansas City Royals manager Ned Yost is debating making a change ahead of Game 3 of the World Series.

Jarrod Dyson, whose been used throughout the playoffs as a defensive replacement, might possibly start in place of Nori Aoki on Friday as Yost believes Aoki brings more value off the bench, according to Andy McCullough of the Kansas City Star

AT&T Park – home of the San Francisco Giants – features an expansive and challenging right field, therefore the speedier Dyson could slide in at center field and move Lorenzo Cain over to right. The look is similar to what Yost deploys usually later in ballgames.

While Dyson is hitless in seven at-bats this postseason, Aoki has struggled at the plate as well, going 7-for-34 (.206) and his 0-for-7 during the World Series.
