Kim Klement / USA TODAY Sports

Jered Weaver will take the mound for the Los Angeles Angels when they open up the American League Division Series on Oct. 2.

The veteran right-hander was arguably the Angels best arm this season. In 32 starts, Weaver posted a 17-8 record to go with a 3.50 ERA and 157 strikeouts in a team-high 200 1/3 innings.

The 31-year-old will be making his fourth postseason start and first since 2009. In 20 2/3 innings, Weaver is 2-1 with a 2.61 ERA and 1.06 WHIP.
