Along with the new protective hats reportedly being hot and uncomfortable, we can now add "eye-sore" to the list of complaints.

It just doesn't look like a natural fit on the head of Blue Jays reliever Todd Redmond.

But if it's able to protect pitchers from traumatic head injuries, looks mean absolutely nothing. However, Sportsnet's Barry Davis consulted players on how the cap would have protected pitchers involved in similar incidents in the past:
