The Giants reportedly supplemented their already impressive outfield depth on Saturday, agreeing to a deal with 28-year-old Tyler Colvin, according to Alex Pavlovic of the Mercury News.

Colvin was ostensibly poised to join the Orioles earlier this offseason, but his deal collapsed after the seam discovered something unsettling in his physical examination.

Colvin spent the bulk of the 2013 campaign at Triple-A Colorado Springs, compiling an .857 OPS with nine home runs over 67 contests. He also appeared in 27 games with the Rockies, hitting just .160/.192/.280 with three homers.

Giants general manager Brian Sabean indicated earlier this month that the club will carry five outfielders on its active roster. As such, Colvin will likely compete with Roger Kieschnick and Juan Perez for a reserve role with the big club.
