The A's have confirmed a minor-league deal with outfielder Sam Fuld, writes ESPN's Jerry Crasnick, though they haven't announced the deal on Twitter. And you know as well as we do that unless it's on Twitter, it hasn't happened.

Anyway, Fuld has two opt-out clauses if he's not a member of the A's included in his new deal: one at the end of spring training, and one on June 1.

Fuld spent the past three years in Tampa Bay, and it was tough to say goodbye to the Rays:

Fuld has his work cut out for him. He's looking to earn a bench spot in Oakland, as Crasnick notes, among outfielders Yoenis Cespedes, Coco Crisp, Josh Reddick, Craig Gentry, and Brandon Moss.
