Catcher Yorvit Torrealba has one of the best names in baseball. Say it. Say it again. See, we told you. And Mr. Torrealba's reportedly agreed to a minor-league deal with the Los Angeles Angels, tweets CBS Sports' Jon Heyman. It includes a spring training invite.

Torrealba, 35, the pride of Caracas, Venezuela, played 61 games for the Rockies last year, and hit .240/.295/.285, with no home runs and 16 RBI.

He can't hit, like most backup catchers, but he's been a plus defender throughout his career, and 2013 was no exception. He threw out 29 percent of runners on the bases last year.

The Angels have Chris Iannetta and Hank Conger behind the plate heading into the coming season, so Torrealba's got little change to make the Opening Day roster. He's likely a depth signing for the minors. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

A little insurance never hurt anybody.
