The Cincinnati Reds have agreed to a minor-league deal with veteran outfielder Roger Bernadina.
The 29-year-old had spent his entire six-year career in Washington before being released in August and later signing with Philadelphia. In 112 games last season, Bernadina struggled batting .178/.247/.270 with two home runs and six RBI.
Bernadina, who played all three outfield positions last season, had his best year in 2012, when he batted .291/.372/.405 with five home runs, 25 RBI and 15 stolen bases.
If Bernadina makes the team out of spring training he will earn $1 million.
