The Twins' busy offseason continued on Wednesday, as the club agreed to a minor-league deal with veteran reliever Matt Guerrier that includes an invitation to big-league spring training, the team announced.

However, the 35-year-old underwent surgery in August to repair a flexor mass problem in his right elbow, and may not be able to participate when spring training begins next month.

Guerrier, spent time with the Dodgers and Cubs last season, fashioned a 4.01 ERA with a 1.41 WHIP over 49 appearances, yielding just three home runs in 42.2 innings. The righty didn't throw a single pitch after Aug. 7, missing the remainder of the season with the aforementioned elbow injury.
