The Brewers' arduous pursuit for a first baseman reportedly culminated on Friday, as the club inked veteran slugger Mark Reynolds to a minor-league deal, according to multiple reports.

Reynolds, who belted 21 home runs with a .699 OPS over 135 games last season, could conceivably platoon with incumbent first baseman Juan Francisco, who struggled in a regular role in 2013 but managed 18 home runs against right-handed pitchers in 316 at-bats.
