Denard Span on Twins' acquisition of C Suzuki: 'Everybody will love him'

Minnesota Twins free agent catching acquisition Kurt Suzuki received a glowing endorsement from former teammate and Twin, Denard Span, when asked about the impact he will have in the Twin Cities this spring. 

"He's a catcher who's going to want to play every day -- a grinder, a good teammate, just an all-around good clubhouse guy. Everybody will love him," Span said via Charley Walters of the St Paul Pioneer Press.

"When he got traded last year, it definitely left a sour taste in our clubhouse because we knew we were losing a good guy."

Slashing a .253/.309/.375 career line, the Twins likely banked on those intangibles, when they signed him to a one-year, $2.75 million deal this offseason.
