Report: Braves sign P Gavin Floyd to one-year, $4-million deal

Free-agent starter Gavin Floyd is Atlanta bound:

The deal is worth a reported base salary of $4 million, and Floyd can earn an addition $4.5 million in performance and roster bonuses.
Floyd had a 5.18 ERA, 4.61 FIP, and 1.60 WHIP in 24 1/3 innings in 2013 for the White Sox before having surgery. He struck out 25 and walked 10. He'll turn 31 in late January 2014 and has a career 4.48 ERA, 4.39 FIP, and 1.34 WHIP in 1,151 1/3 innings over 10 years.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution's David O'Brien writes that Floyd did pass a physical on Monday, so his arm's healthy. He adds that "barring setbacks [Floyd] could return as early as May" 2014.
