Indians sign free-agent INF David Adams

Cleveland has a new infielder, and you better be sitting down for this one, Indians fans: 

Excited? We thought you might be. 

Adams will turn 27 in May, and played 43 games for the Yankees in 2013, hitting .293/.252/.286, with two home runs and 13 RBI. He hit .268/.366/.405 with Triple-A Scranton in 59 games, with five home runs and 21 RBI. 

Adams' defense in 2013 was one run above average at third base, first base, and second base, according to FanGraphs

Adams was non-tendered by the Yankees on Dec. 2.
