Blue Jays general manager Alex Anthopoulos confirmed Monday that the club is poised to be involved in the trade market, reports Sportsnet's Ben Nicholson-Smith, who adds that the executive might even be conceiving a blockbuster deal.

The Blue Jays have already consummated a pair of blockbusters under Anthopoulos' regime, including last November's mega-deal with the Marlins and the subsequent swap with the Mets for reigning Cy Young award winner R.A. Dickey.

One rumor making the rounds has the Jays mulling a blockbuster deal featuring Toronto slugger Edwin Encarnacion and Rays ace David Price.
