Report: Dodgers to sign SP Dan Haren to one-year, $10-million deal

The Dodgers have reportedly signed free-agent starting pitcher Dan Haren, who was looking to return to the west coast:

Haren, 33, had a 4.67 ERA and 1.24 WHIP in 169 2/3 innings in 2013 for the Nationals. He struck out 151, walked 31, and allowed 28 home runs.

Haren called his stint on the disabled list "mental, not physical, and everyone knows that," as detailed in the storyline below. Whatever it was for, Haren was excellent upon his return to the mound, holding opponents to a .628 OPS over his last 15 starts.

Haren has a career 3.74 ERA and 1.19 WHIP in 11 years and 2,046 1/3 innings.

Haren takes over for Ricky Nolasco in the Dodgers' rotation, as Nolasco's a free agent, and Haren's reported signing all but rules out Nolasco's return to Los Angeles.
