Report: Murphy gets 2-year, $12-million deal from Indians

Paul Hoynes of the Cleveland Plain-Dealer disclosed the terms of Cleveland's new deal with free agent outfielder David Murphy, who will reportedly receive $12 million over his two-year deal, with a club option for 2016.

The 32-year-old regressed in 2013, hitting .220/.282/.374 with 13 home runs while posting a career-low 77 OPS+.  However, Murphy is just one season removed from a terrific 2012 campaign, when he hit .304/.380/.479 with 15 long balls and a career-high 29 doubles.
