A's finished second to Giants in Hudson sweepstakes
The Giants haven't officially announced the signing of free-agent starting pitcher Tim Hudson, but all indications suggest it's a done deal, including this nugget:
Oakland drafted Hudson in 1997, and he spent six years in Oakland, with a 3.30 ERA and 1.22 WHIP in 1,240 2/3 innings, before being traded to Atlanta in 2004.
The A's tried to orchestrate a reunion, but fell short thanks to their Bay Area rivals. They can't be sitting too well.
