The Chicago White Sox signed veteran outfielder Robbie Grossman to a minor-league contract that includes an invite to big-league spring training, the team announced Friday.

Chicago's projected starting lineup includes an outfield of Andrew Benintendi in left field, Luis Robert Jr. in center, and Dominic Fletcher in right.

The White Sox also have Gavin Sheets on the 40-man roster, as well as Kevin Pillar, Brett Phillips, Rafael Ortega, and Mark Payton in spring camp as non-roster invites.

Grossman spent the 2023 campaign with the Texas Rangers, hitting .238/.340/.394 with 10 home runs, 23 doubles, and 49 RBIs in 115 games. He's been especially good against left-handed pitching throughout his career, posting an .808 OPS against southpaws.

The 34-year-old has played for six different teams over 11 major-league seasons.
