Fan gives up seat on plane for Kenny Lofton

Popular former Cleveland Indians outfielder Kenny Lofton is set to throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to Game 1 of the World Series at Progressive Field on Tuesday, and he was able to make it there in time thanks to one generous fan.

Lofton was scheduled to take a red-eye flight from Los Angeles to Cleveland to make the first pitch, but was booked on standby, despite his urgent need to get to the important game.

Luckily, one fan on the flight recognized Lofton and gave up his seat so the former Indians speedster and six-time All-Star could make it in time.

Lofton ended up making it in plenty of time, so much so he even had a chance to strike a pose upon his arrival.
