Asdrubal Cabrera and the New York Mets were flipping out Thursday after walking off the Philadelphia Phillies 9-8 in the 11th inning.

When it looked like the Phillies were about to upset their National League East counterparts, Cabrera stepped to the plate with two on and one out against Edubray Ramos and delivered a game-winning blast, which was followed by a poster-worthy bat flip into the sky.

"As soon as I hit it, I knew the ball was going to be out," Cabrera told reporters. "I was just so excited."

The resilient Mets received some heroics from Jose Reyes earlier in the game as well, when the infielder cranked a game-tying blast in the ninth to push the game into extra innings. Like his teammates, Reyes was at a loss for words when trying to explain his team's remarkable triumph.

"I can't even explain it, man," Reyes said. "I'm still excited about that game. It was great to see coming from behind like that. That's what a good team does."

The magic came one night after Yoenis Cespedes was robbed of a game-winning home run by Atlanta Braves outfielder Ender Inciarte.

With the victory, New York moved into possession of a wild-card spot in the NL, with the San Francisco Giants and St. Louis Cardinals hot on their heels.
