Another day, another notch on the Hall of Fame resume for Albert Pujols.

The Los Angeles Angels designated hitter's first-inning home run against the Cincinnati Reds on Monday was the 586th long ball of his career, moving the future Cooperstown inductee into a tie with Frank Robinson for ninth place on the all-time list.

Pujols now sits just 14 homers shy of the 600 home-run club, and is 23 behind Sammy Sosa (609) for eighth all time.

Robinson, who coincidentally played for both the Reds and Angels during his stellar career, owns the most homers by a player who didn't reach the 600 home run mark.

The homer also served as the 1,200th extra-base hit of Pujols' legendary career. He's only the seventh player ever to reach that mark.
