Monday was a pretty solid day of firsts for Rob Segedin.
During the day, the Los Angeles Dodgers rookie third baseman crushed the first home run of his career in the fifth inning against the Cincinnati Reds, earning himself the traditional silent treatment from his teammates after launching one to deep left field.
Later that evening, Segedin got off the plane from Cincinnati and headed straight to the hospital where his wife was about to give birth to his first child:
Oh, and he also set a franchise record with four RBIs in his MLB debut. Needless to say, August has been a pretty good month for the new dad.
