Edwin Encarnacion is being sued for battery and misrepresentation of the facts by a woman who claims the Toronto Blue Jays designated hitter knowingly gave her multiple STDs, TMZ Sports reports.

According to the report, the lawsuit claims the woman had unprotected sex with the 33-year-old twice during a trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic in February 2016. She is seeking more than $11.5 million in damages.

The lawsuit asserts she was STD-free before the sexual encounters, having visited a Planned Parenthood location in December 2015.

She also claims she contacted Encarnacion to discuss the issue after learning she tested positive for two STDs, but he allegedly suggested she may have contracted them while swimming in a river.

Encarnacion then allegedly cut off communication with the woman, who reportedly believes he knew he was carrying STDs the whole time.

TMZ Sports reportedly reached out to Encarnacion's agent, who had "no comment' about the alleged incident.

The Blue Jays slugger currently leads the American League with 101 RBIs, to go along with 35 home runs and a .268/.355/.555 slash line. He is making $10 million in the final year of his contract with Toronto.
