If you look closely, you can pinpoint the exact moment Zach Eflin's soul gets ripped to pieces after serving up this first-inning home run to Miami Marlins slugger Giancarlo Stanton, whose early two-run shot in Wednesday's series finale left his bat at 112 miles per hour, according to Statcast.
Stanton, per Baseball Savant, is now the only player in the big leagues this year to hit a dozen homers with an exit velocity of at least 110 mph. Mark Trumbo, who leads the majors in homers, has 11.
After stumbling through a rough start to his 2016 campaign, Stanton has mashed of late, hitting .323/.391/.613 with nine homers in his last 32 games heading into Wednesday's matinee.
