Two months after Jennie Finch became the first woman to manage a professional baseball team, taking the helm of the Bridgeport Bluefish of the Independent Atlantic League, the squad has decided to hand the managing reins over to another famous ballplayer.

Seven-time Cy Young winner Roger Clemens will serve as the team's guest manager on Aug. 5.

"We are thrilled to have someone of such high caliber as Roger Clemens join us at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard," Bluefish general manager Jamie Toole said in a press release. "We encourage everyone to come out on Aug. 5 and experience this special occasion."

The Bluefish, like a number of independent clubs, have explored improving attendance by enlisting a number of former prominent names to manage their squad, such as Clemens, Finch, Paul O'Neill, and Pete Rose.

This won't be the first time the 53-year-old Clemens appears with an independent league club either. Clemens pitched for the Sugarland Skeeters in 2012, making two spotless starts, one of which featured his son Koby as his catcher.
