Watch: Adams' 16th-inning blast lifts Cardinals
Scott Rovak / USA TODAY Sports
The St. Louis Cardinals sure are getting a hang of this whole walk-off thing.
In the bottom of the 16th inning at Busch Stadium on Friday night, one night after Aledmys Diaz's heroics lifted the Cardinals to a walk-off victory, Matt Adams decided to play hero, crushing a solo shot off Bud Norris to propel St. Louis to a 4-3 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers.
It was Adams' longest home run in more than two years.
The victory moved the Cardinals into a tie with the Miami Marlins for the National League's second wild-card spot and brought them within one game of the wild card-leading Dodgers.
