Los Angeles Angels first baseman Albert Pujols slugged his way to another illustrious distinction Friday in Anaheim, smacking the 573rd home run of his career to tie Minnesota Twins legend Harmon Killebrew for 11th on the all-time leaderboard.

Pujols, who hadn't homered since June 5 prior to Friday's tilt with the Oakland Athletics, tied Killebrew with a first-inning, two-run blast blast off left-hander Eric Surkamp that erased his club's early 1-0 deficit.

With 13 homers through 72 games in 2016, Pujols has a chance to move up another two spots on the all-time list this season, as he sits just 10 homers shy of Mark McGwire (583) and 13 below Frank Robinson (586).
